The first component I wanted to redesign from my last project was Finbay. The last design had very limited control and had only one pair of ailerions. This time I chose a much smaller diameter for the rocket body of 3.55 inches. This forced me to rethink how I wanted to control the wings. I chose to make a tower of servos, with the transfer of movement done with metal rods. This way, the servos can be as far away from the wings as I want; the only thing that needs to change is the length of the rods. This helps when I need to place the rocket motor near the end of the wings. I am testing the servos with some very haphazardly assembled code to move the wings on a coordinate plane.
